Act Two

  • In the Ski Jump there's a large hill for male competitors and a small hill for female competitors.

    The large hill has a par distance or "K" of 120 meters. The small hill has a par distance of 80 meters.

  • Teacher note
    On each hill, jumpers are awarded 60 distance points for hitting par. On the large hill, jumpers earn 1.8 points for every meter over par and deducted 1.8 points for every meter under par. On the small hill, jumpers earn 5 points for every meter over par and are deducted five points for every meter under par.
  • Teacher note
    The blue jumper is 10 meters over par.

    The red jumper is 5 meters under par.

Act Three

  • Teacher note
    Red Jumper scored 35 points.

    Blue Jumper scored 110 points.
