How well does that work? For which temperatures is the shortcut formula w/i 10% of the actual formula? For which are they exactly the same?

Does "double it and add 30" work as an estimate for *most* temperatures that are within the human living range? (0 to 100 degrees F)

Is there an acceptable range where that's okay? What should people from Canada do when they visit the US?

Why not use the two points (c,f)=(0,32) and (c,f)=(40,40) to derive the relation? How different are the lines f=2c+30 and f=1.8c+32?

For what temperature(s) does the "just double it and add 30" rule give a good approximation?

When is the approximation exactly right? What happens to the accuracy at different temperatures?

For what temperature range does that "formula" actually generate a reasonable estimate?

For which Celsius temperature is that true? What's the temperature (American) outside if she's right?
